Vieilles Vignes St Nicolas de Bourgueil
Silver medal Paris 2011
Grape variety: Cabernet franc
Total acidity: 3.4 g/l
Terroir: Clay-Silex-Chalk on gentle south-facing slopes
Age of vines: 35 - 80 years. This gives a more complex wine able to be laid down and to age for longer.
Cultivation: ground cover between vines, manual grape picking
Vinification: in stainless steel vat, with temperature control for 15 - 25 days.
Tasting notes: The beautiful deep red colour of the wine tinged with violet delivers black fruit aromas on the nose. Full on the palate, supported by tannins, this wine is made to keep. Excellent length of taste and agreeable tannins.
Awards: Silver medal Concours Generale Agricole de Paris.
